"There was a rumour made up and spread about me at school (which was not true, at all). It all started when I set up an ask.fm account... because well everyone else was doing it 🤷♀️.
Anyway someone asked if it was true and I ignored the question but when I went to school the next day, everyone made comments and laughed about it, then after school that day I went home onto my ask.fm account.
I had anonymous comments telling me to kill myself, drink bleach excetra.
I couldn’t avoid school because I didn’t want my parents to find out what was happening, so I went to school and spent most of my free time in the library hiding, and in class I’d usually get notes thrown at me or things whispered about me.
It got so bad that I started self-harming - but again I couldn’t tell my family because I didn’t want to upset them and my friends were too afraid to stick up for me at school.
It was horrific but somehow I got through it by ignoring everyone and continuing as if everything was fine.
Through Instagram and tumblr I found people to connect with who didn’t know about the rumours or didn’t care so that at least I had somewhere to turn at the end of the day.
What was supposed to be the best days of my life turned into the worst through rumour spreading and online hate.
Now I defend everyone I can, and I will try help everyone I can, because it’s not okay to make other people feel like trash."
