"...Of course it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. There’s still so much work to do but being in this online community has been life changing. Because no matter what, I know I’m not in this alone. None of us are..." Hev

"When I first became a blogger, I blogged about beauty and lifestyle mostly because I thought that’s the only way anyone would ever read my blog. I blogged about my favourite makeup, going out on trips with my friends and, once in a while, sprinkled in a little about my crippling mental health issues.
And then my life fell apart. I completely broke. I lost my job, my mental health hit rock bottom, and my future didn’t look very good.
So, instead of blogging about my favourite lipstick, I wrote a blog post about my history with mental illness and how I’d learned to cope over the years.
I wrote more and more about the issues I was facing, my journey to heal myself, and my mission to let other people know that they are not alone.
It’s two years later, and my blog Crosswordsnotwires is still small but growing me as a person more than anything else ever has done.
I’m sharing my struggles with mental health, self care and body positivity- and I have never felt more free online.
Of course it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. There’s still so much work to do but being in this online community has been life changing. Because no matter what, I know I’m not in this alone. None of us are." - Hev
